The 525c v 575: Key Features
The Keurig 525c and the Keurig® K575 Coffee Maker are similar in many ways. Both are high-quality machines which would both satisfy the buyer. As layed out above both machines have many similar features. Both machines look very similar and come in a variety of colors.
Display Screen
The 525 and the K575 Keurig both have a color touch screen display of 2.8 inches. The display outlines complete instructions for the brewing of your coffee; both contain strength options and different temperature settings, so you can enjoy your coffee as strong and as hot as you like it. Both machines have the ‘auto off/on’ feature so you can program when you want your machines to turn off. Meaning both machines are energy efficient and both machines are easy to program.
Water Capacity
As spoken about above both machines come with an 80 lb water tank as standard. You can brew 10+ cups of coffee at a time before the water tank needs refilling. The water tanks on both machines are easily removable and easy to clean. Both machines also dispense Hot Water, and this option is easy to select through the Display Screen.
The 525c and the Keurig 575 Plus are very similar machines. But there are a few subtle differences between the two machines. Let’s take a look at those differences.
Dimensions and Weight
The 525c is the heavier of the two machines, weighing 14.6 lbs while the 575 weighs 11.8 lbs, so the 575 is a little lighter, but both machines will fit well into your kitchen. The 525c is a little larger than the 575 as well. The Dimensions of the machine are 13.6 x 13.4 x 10.4 in, while the 575 is 10.45 x 13.63 x 13.45 in.
Water Filter
Another difference between the two machines is that the 575 comes with a water filter as standard, whereas the 525c doesn’t. A water filter can be bought at an affordable price separately, however. A water filter is a handy addition for the 575 as it gives you more control over the quality of the water your consuming and the chance to remove chemicals from the water when you want to brew your coffee.
The Final Word
Our Winner: Keurig K575
Both the 525c and the 575 are high-quality machines from Keurig. The 575 is the slightly better of the two machines. It’s newer than the 525c, which means it’s more up to date. Also, as the 575 comes with a water filter, it is more convenient than buying a machine without one and then having to buy a filter separately.
Both machines operate in a similar way, have a similar aesthetic, and will brew excellent tasting coffee in less than one minute. So, whatever machine you choose to go for you will be getting a high-quality unit. Because it includes the water-filter however, the 575 is our recommendation on the best machine to purchase.
